GeoNode is the project I've been working on full time for around six months now. IT is completely Open Source and is funded partially by The World Bank and GFDRR.

This project mixes many of the Open Source projects I've been using for the past 4 years: Django, GeoServer, ExtJS, OpenLayers and I like to think about it like a "Reference SDI" because it shows how to tie all the components together and is an excellent starting point to start developing your own SDI using the excellent Django framework.

The source code is available at github and I wrote some scripts to fire up an Amazon Ubuntu instance, install all the required libraries, clone the latest development version and run a development server, the can be found in this gist. Please don't hesitate to try it out and if you get stuck, look for help in #geonode at irc.freenode.net.
